"The Stratford is very reasonably priced and in easy walking distance to town and the theaters. We have stayed here while attending OSF many times starting in 1986. We appreciate having a small fridge and microwave in the room, plus Safeway right across the street. It is an older property but generally in good condition. "

The Victorian themed nature collections of leaves, shells, butterflies, etc. that decorated the lobby, elevator, and halls were fascinating and added to the ambience of a step back in time. Dinner cuisine at the Larks Kitchen was beautifully prepared and served."

"There is a required resort fee. This should just be in the nightly rate quoted. Have begun to charge for full breakfast, which is fine, but quality needs to improve to match the price. Continental still available for no additional fee. "

"Staff was very personable! Cherri went over and beyond to assist me a few times during our stay. She has great energy and professional. I thought continental breakfast ended at 10am. Jack prepared a dish of scrambled eggs for me at 10am, even though they closed. I was so impressed he went out of his way to do that! And before I departed, he filled my cooler with ice. The beds are very comfortable. A cozy stay! I will return! Thank you."

"We checked in quite late during a road trip, and it was extremely easy and quick. We were in bed asleep within 15 minutes of arrival. The breakfast was great, and we were back on the road by 7:00 the next morning. It was clean, quiet, and exactly what we needed."
