"The hotel is clean, busy, basic, nothing special, but great location."

"Overall, the stay was disappointing and did not meet expectations. The room wasn’t clean enough — there were sticky spots on the bathroom floor, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. The windows were dirty despite the apartment having a view, which completely ruined the experience. The curtains looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The hotel offers a $35 daily credit for drinks, but this feels misleading since even a single drink at the bar costs more than that. We also requested wine glasses to be brought to the room, but they were never delivered. On top of that, there were multiple additional fees added after checkout. These charges should be clearly disclosed before booking, not after the stay. Overall, the service and transparency need significant improvement."

"I always enjoy staying at the Grand Hyatt. Expensive, YES, but “it’s New York.” The lady at the restaurant gave great suggestions for breakfast, as did the doorman for a seafood lunch. The location is outstanding as well, for visiting family in Long Island and Connecticut. Expensive, YES, but i will be back."

"Very central, easy walk to Central Park, Broadway shows, restaurants etc. Elevator is a issue, we took the stairs a lot. Room was clean but run down. Overall we had a good experience."

"Had a good stay after choosing to stay here again. We absolutely love the location at the fact the hotel is so iconic. We only stayed for one night and we were glad it was only one night as we had so much noise coming through for outside the room. It was close to the lift so it was always busy and lots of slamming doors around. There was an awful lot of light coming through the gaps in the door that we tried to block it out the best we could. So not much sleep was had. If we had that room again and I would stay again then I would ask to be moved."

"Staff at desk nasty and rude. Elevators broken and my 80+ year old parents had to use 7 flights of stairs. The staff l, understanding the elevators were not their fault, they were rude and would you discuss a lower floor or future credit. Disappointing customer service."

"Good evening, I am writing to formally report an issue that occurred during my attempted check-in on May 3rd at approximately 9:15–9:20 PM. I initially arrived without a reservation and was advised by the night manager on duty to complete my booking online. At no point during this interaction was I informed of any restrictions, policies, or circumstances that would prevent me from being checked in after doing so. Relying on this guidance, I immediately made a reservation online and was charged $170. When I returned to the front desk, I was then denied service. I was also told that statements were made that I did not make, which added to the confusion and concern about how the situation was handled. Additionally, the interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. As a result, I incurred a charge for a reservation that I was unable to use due to conflicting information provided by staff. I am requesting: 1. A full refund of the amount charged 2. A review of this incident, including staff conduct and communication practices I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution. Thank you."
