"It is an okay property if you are not looking for something luxurious and just looking for something which is closer to the Gold Souk and other Souk for your shopping. I found it decent, clean and hygienic. The staff were helpful and checked me in ahead of time."

A fantastic hotel nestled on the border of traditional Dubai and the glitzy new Dubai! Al Satwa and Al Jafliya a few minutes walk one way and Sheikh Zayed Road a few minutes walk the other way! The hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk from Al Jafliya Metro and Bus stand! Jumeirah and Le Mer Beach are about a 5 minute taxi ride away. Dubai Museum of the Future is about 20 minutes walk away or 2 stops away on the metro.

The Atana Hotel was a great place to stay. Very helpful staff who were very friendly. The location was close to the metro.
There is a fantastic gym and swimming pool which can make it a good place to stay if you just want to relax.
The room was immaculate and cleaned every day at a time that was convenient for the guest which was good as I slept in most mornings.
There is a desk in the hotel that will arrange trips for you and I took the opportunity to book a safari and it was done perfectly...

The price was good and the location is great. However I was surprised by there being a fee taken on the deposit. There was no mention of this when booking, they only tell you once booked, so beware.
The sheets on the bed weren't great, they didn't fit properly, so the sheets kept coming off the mattress. Also the sheet didn't fit the duvet, so the bedding isn't great. The place is a little tired, the carpet grubby and some of the fixtures and fittings need attention.
Other than that,...

What is Al Fahidi like for travellers on a budget?
Check out discount places to stay in Al Fahidi on Expedia.com and plan a trip that stays within your budget. Al Fahidi is a destination that travellers visit for its major shopping area and desert landscapes. You can scroll through a wide selection of accommodation choices with Member Prices to find the best deal for you and earn rewards. Guided by our site's helpful page filters, you can search by price per night, or by top amenities like free breakfast and a swimming pool. If you're hoping for reasonable options around local sights, such as SMCCU Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding or Al-Serkal Cultural Foundation, try out the location filters to narrow down your search. While you browse, click the heart button to save your favourites so that you can return to them easily when you're ready to book. Interested in a car or a flight too? Choose from the Bundle and Save holiday packages and discover huge discounts when you arrange your transport at the same time.
What is there to see and do in Al Fahidi?
Al Fahidi attracts visitors with its major shopping area and top museums, and offers plenty to see and do without spending a fortune. You can budget for the top local attractions that interest you most, such as Dubai Mall and Gold Souk, and then look for sights and activities that cost little or nothing at all. Head to Mall of the Emirates and Meena Bazaar for some bargain shopping, or hunt for deals at Naif Souq.
How can I get to Al Fahidi and get around on a budget?
Looking at these ways to get around Al Fahidi can help keep you on budget. The most convenient airport is 3.4 mi (5.5 km) from the centre in Dubai (DXB-Dubai Intl.). If that doesn't suit your budget, you can look into flights to Sharjah (SHJ-Sharjah Intl.), which is 14.3 mi (23.1 km) away. Al Fahidi might not have many public transport choices so a rental car could be a reasonable alternative to explore the area.
