The problem I had/have is how the place is advertised on both Expedia and its own official site. Take extra special care when booking your room. Unlike every other holiday I've booked where rooms are styled in very much the same way, each room can be totally different.
Before I go in to a sob story I have my hands up, this was my mistake which is why I paid the two night penalty having stayed at the resort for just under an hour.
At first, and second, glance I made the fatal error of assuming a two bedroom, two story residence was the wonderful picture they have plastered everywhere. The classic Thai style duplex pool villa. As it turned out when we got there, they put us in an apartment block resembling that of a typical City break rather than a paradise island. There is not one external photo of this building on either site.
The General Manager understood our concerns and kindly offered to move us to what we did see in the picture but due to the Chinese New Year it was very busy and it was their last room which smelt of heavy smoke. Indeed, this is not the hotel's fault and both rooms were very well equipped.
My only gripe was that if we took that room, the people who had originally booked it would have been put in our previously allocated room. Just made me wonder if that was what happened to us. Its that kind of shady dealing that drove me away from the Financial Sector. Completely legal but borderline immoral, and designed for profit from honest hard working fol
Quite and clean villa suitable for family. But the location a bit far from Bang Tao Beach and no convenient nearby. Hotel did provide free shuttle service to Bang Tao Beach and nearest Tesco Lotus. Overall highly recommend villa for a ground of family. And also nice in house BBQ service as well.
The hotel was beautiful and right next to the beach. The staff new all of us by name and literally nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were truly amazing - we have never stayed anywhere with such big rooms.

Hard to find, Pretty new so Taxi drivers had a hard time locating this hotel...nice swimming pool on top floor.Clean and quiet and actually close to Surin Beach..coming back through and will most likely stay again. Recommended great place to stay and reasonably priced
The hotel staff (Boyy) was very helpful and friendly. Even before we arrived he helped us arrange things for when we arrived such as car pick up service from the airport, renting bbq, transport to Layan beach etc...
The villa was newly refurbished and felt like we were the first group to stay at villa 11 because we smelt freshly renovated villa.
Everything was new and fresh however, it contained problems such as sewage, there was a problem with toilet flushing in one of the bedrooms, master shower had blockage took a long time for the water to go and water was everywhere after shower and the kitchen sink was blocked. The staff were very helpful and helped unblock nearly every day of our stay. The villa needs to look into fixing this problem as it was very annoying for us.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the villa due to the service from the staff there. There were a few beaches nearby and convenient if you had a car. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the Patong town centre. They do however need to fix plumbing problems to ensure customers' stay more at ease.
