“Great hotel”

Lovely little boutique hotel in a great location in Manhattan. Close to lots of great restaurants, bars, shops and amenities. The staff were wonderful – really friendly and courteous – especially Larry, the concierge, and Jake, the doorman. Very comfortable room. Will definitely stay there again when back in New York!

Lovely hotel cozy and warm friendly staff only too happy to help out with anything - porters really helpful too - room clean and they even dropped off sa bedtime mint mid-afternoon...Upper west side is a lovely residential area so you get to live NYC style without the constant hustle and bustle of more central hotels

“Hotel Belleclaire”

Perfect hotel for budget traveller. We shared a bathroom with 2 other rooms, but this did not cause any problems. Rooms had a bit of traffic noise, but where can you go in NY and not have noise... Hotel (on 77th St, on the corner with Broadway) is just 2 block from subway station (on 79th St) which takes you directly into central Manhatten, or straight to the bottom of the island (financial centre + ferry to statue of liberty). Lots of local diners that are open early and late. When we go back to NY (which we definetely will - it's awesome!) we are going to use this hotel again.

For a 2 1/2 * hotel i thought it was very nice.and all the hotel staff were really really nice and very helpful.so thankyou very much i really enjoyed my stay and would love to come to New York sometime

“Hotel Belleclaire”

Great hotel. Helpful staff. Room lovely, clean and enough room for the 5 of us - and such comfy beds. Friendly diner opposite for breakfast - although be warned it does get very busy with a queue outside if you aren't there before 9 - especially at weekends.

“Excellent Value”

We stayed at the Belleclaire for 5 nights in Feb. Room was a double with own bathroom. We overlooked the River Hudson. We never had any issues with noise. Very quiet for a city hotel. The room had everything you needed. TV, ipod dock, fridge, ironing board, good hair dryer. We requested a hair dryer which was bought up within 5 minutes. We also got given hot drinks cups. Any questions were greeted with a smile and answered very quickly. Hotel is near central park and has easy access for the subway. Excellent value hotel for location and comfort. All you need when you spend all the time out of the hotel

“Upper West Side: A Very Nice Place.”

The Hotel is in a great location, being only two blocks walk away from central park and the natural history museum. To walk to Times Square would take around 30-40 minutes depending on your pace but is a lovely walk. Amsterdam and Columbus are the two avenues you'll cross if you take a walk down 77th street to the park and they are worth a stroll up and down as they contain numerous places to eat, shop and drink. A Shakeshack has just opened on the corner of 77th on Columbus and is kind of THE place to get a burger and shake atm. Try getting one at Madison Square and you'll see the size of the lines! Close to subways and in an amazingly warm and friendly area the Hotel could not be in a nicer location. Although there is no food available from the Hotel itself they do have a fridge that you can store drinks in and there is a classic American diner literally across Broadway (3mins). You can also order room service from the diner though things are slightly more expensive, but it is room service after all! The upper west side doesn't have the hustle and bustle of Midtown or the East Side nor the cool hipness of Greenwich Village or Soho but it has a really lazy feel about the place that just makes you feel at home almost straight away and sucks you in the longer you stay, making leaving all the harder.

“Will be staying here again”

The hotel is perfectly situated on the corner of Broadway and 77th Street.We were in a family room on the 9th floor and it was perfect. You couldn't hear the traffic and the rooms were clean and tidy with en-suite facilities. Although there is no restaraunt you can get food delivered round the clock from the Manhattan diner across the road at a very good price. The staff were very helpful and will let you know the best ways to get to sights in the city. You are only a few blocks from the subway station and this is the way to travel in New york. We are planning another trip and will be staying here.

“Enjoyable trip”

Hotel was basic but clean and comfortable, hotel staff helpful. Linen changed daily which was nice, though wished we had an ensuite. though did not find this too much of a problem, hotel situation quite central and close to subway. just off broadway and 30mins walk Times Square, so for the price really good, for New York. Having a Fridge in the room very useful.
