Delightful historic hotel steeped in history The staff were very helpful and friendly and even found time to show me around the 'Priory'. Arrived early and room was ready.
Bar snacks in the 'Monks Bar' also very tasty and well presented
Quite immaculate with lovely traditional furnishings..
Just wished I could have stayed longer

Breakfast good, all the day was the same thing. Staff very friendly. Pool is a good option if the weather is bad outside. Very clean hotel. Recommend to stay.

The people at reception were amazing. Everyone was so efficient and very kind to us.
One item we found not good was that in most hotels in the USA, plastic cutlery, styrofoam plates etc.are used. Why not use a commercial dishwasher appliance to be eco-friendly. Certainly, it would be better in the long run.

Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. We had to complain about a noisy airconditioning unit which was on the outside of the building close to the position of our bedhead. Man at front desk came along and agreed but was very noisy but all rooms full so no option to switch. Even with earplugs in it was noisy and led to disturbed sleep. Avoid room 114!!!!!

Photo in the office shows the hotel circa 1965. My room had the exact furnishings as the room in the photo. The. Exact. Furnishings.
Only the bar/restaurant next door for a meal. Food was average small town fare.
Pillows were those small ones that have been washed a million times. Bed was comfortable enough.
Seriously, it would be a cute hotel if they would put some money into it. There was a sign in the office proudly stating that it was family owned since 1960. Which means it should have...
