What the online picture depicted was far different than the room I was given. The picture showed a larger room with a couch, bed, mini kitchen and large windows.
What I got was a room barely big enough for the bed and a desk. The room had two windows but only one had clear glass and was operable, (important as the room had no a/c). The bath was spacious, but had a tiny sink and even smaller shelf above it. There was no shower stall, just a drain on the floor with curtains around it (yes, the water went beyond the curtain). The TV was hung in an awkward position on the wall adjacent to the bed. All too easy to hit one’s head on it when getting up in the middle of the night. Limited channels. A walk heater was mounted under the TV but had no outlet to plug it into. The room had no closet or place to put a suitcase. An exhaust fan was fairly loud.
On the plus side, the room and bath were immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The linens looked new. The room was cleaned and restocked with coffee, tea and fresh towels on a daily basis. The kitchenette was well equipped with fridge, 2nirner stove with hood and a microwave. The building is served by 3 very fast elevators. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Nearby fitness center is included in the room rate. Water pressure for the shower was very good. The building has access to the The Terrace in the front and Lambton Quay (the shopping district) in the rear. Very convenient.

Friendly staff, lifts and entry doors into Hotel, side entrance in particular need a good clean
Room was compact but productive for business,. had air con, fridge, desk, comfortable bed, plenty of power points, friendly staff and decent shower. Comfortable, clean, functional, able to relax, work and not bump your elbows. Will go back.
Extremely convenient location, great to have cutlery, plates & microwave so I could get Supermarket food, a real plus. Comfy bed, desk, lounge chair, small space but everything I needed was there.
The hotel was clean and tidy and well presented. Also, the receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Good Location at a Reasonable Price
The room was quite small and the bathroom very small with no bench space to put any personal items, which makes it very awkward for a woman to get ready. The basin was so small I couldn’t fill my water bottle up.
But in saying that it is in a handy area for me and I got it for a reasonable price. It was a standard Queen room. I stayed 3 nights.
The reception staff were pleasant when I arrived.
The overall condition and cleanliness was ok but the ceiling panel holding the light in the bathroom was pushed over so the the ceiling gap was exposed. (someone must have done some maintenance and forgot to put it back)
Also they should move and vac under the bed occasionally. I dropped something and had to roll the bed over to retrieve it and it wasn’t pretty under there.
Good if you are on business, access to Lambton Quay and the Terrace. Handy to railway station.
The hotel totally suited my needs for a night in town on business. reception was closed early due to covid but they left arrangements to get the key out of hours .

Lovely to receive a bottle of wine as a VIP amenity. Beds were comfortable. Great location. Would have benefited from a second bathroom in a three bedroom suite.
The room was spacious and comfortable, clean and modern. No views at all, but just an overnight stay so no problem. The only issue was the very tight parking at the back round the corner. But central to town , enjoyed our stay thank you.
A good room though bathroom a bit small in a good central location with access to the Terrace and Lambton Quay.
But facilities hadn't yet opened up with limited reception and no bar/restaurant
So it was a bit ghost like
Room was half serviced (bed literally left half made, with top blanket left in a pile on the floor), staff were rude and unhelpful, on at least two occasions just ignoring us. We rang before we checked in with a question and were told that they would call us back. Still waiting. Bad communication and misinformation about facilities - it wasnt until we arrived we fpund out the restaurant is closed indefinitely and thus room service is unavailable, yet it is still advertised throughout the hotel and in the room.

This is our second stay in this hotel one before the pandemic and one during. We love the retro feel of this hotel and it has always been great value of money. It is also close to shops and restaurants.
The hotel was clearly following covid 19 rules and we felt safe staying here. They were clearly doing their best under tough circumstances. However it was very obvious that they were working on the bare minimum of staff. The restaurant was closed and it looked like the halls were undergoing a paint job that had been unfininshed. Everything understandably felt a little run down. I truely hope that they get back on there feet again soon as we do love this place.

Given this was a few days after Corona restrictions have started to be lifted, they did very well.
The room was small, but well organized. We walked all over downtown Wellington, especially along the waterfront on a sunny day, so the location was great.
Excellent location, lovely room serviced daily while we were out. Great shower. Staff around if you need them otherwise left alone. Would recommend and stay here again.
