Wellington has so much to offer and Naumi Studio puts you right amongst everything - most enjoyable & highly recommend you book their breakfast as it’s fabulous.
Perfect location.
Spacious, tidy and well appointed lounge, bar, foyer and dining areas.
Rooms are small but perfectly fine.
A couple of housekeeping/maintenance things could be resolved in the rooms, but not worth mentioning, and they don't impact your use of the space.
Naumi is in a very central spot in Wellington, walkable distance from anywhere you’d like to go.
For our room, unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. The room was very dusty, there were dirty marks on things marks all over the walls. The automatic closing latch on the door was also broken, so half the time the door didn’t close at all, and when it did, you had to physically push it closed yourself to get it to close properly. The sheets on the bed were also not fitted, so they untucked very easily. The beds also seemed like they were on a lean to one side, so felt like you’d roll off while sleeping. Other than that, staff were good, the hotel is nice and it’s in a great location.
Characteristically Wellington, quirky yet comfy. Excellent city locale. Fair warning however, it is Cuba St and this is not a hermetically sealed modern building. There will be noise. And it will be late noise.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Great staff and cute hotel, but very thin walls between rooms and windows rattled loudly from wind.
Room was very funky and clean. However, it was a lot smaller than expected.

We were really looking forward to our stay. I had spent a long time choosing to stay based on reviews so maybe had higher expectations than I should have. Unfortunately the uncourteous receptionist set the stay off on a sour note. She was curt and unwelcoming, and this continued when we had to ask her things at reception later.
The bed was comfy but small, and the room was cramped to what we had expected from the photos. There were two towels for two people so washing hair meant you had to towel down with wet hair dripping onto you. The room on the third floor was hot and had a fan that mildly shifted air around, we had to open windows to sleep but then had road noise. The room was quite noisy from the corridor. For what we paid for the room it was quite basic. The bar shut earlier than advertised in the room info sheet. There was safe parking at extra cost but I wouldn't want to be in a larger car as it was a squeeze to get parked. Great central location and easy to get to from SH1. We did appreciate the lolly jar in the reception (still not enough of a sweetener to get over the receptionist). Checking out was easy and on that occasion there was a nice girl who was able to smile - it makes all the difference!
Friendly and professional staff, overall clean facilities and great location. The fitness facilities are very limited and there was a power outage at the time that further limited functionality.
Lovely room and staff. Clean and tidy and very cool place. Our only issue was our room being ridiculously warm. We had the room fan on and windows open all day/night and the room was still high 20’s. We got a portable fan from reception which helped, but even then we woke up during the night from the heat.
This was our 3rd stay and everything was as expected. Staff is great and we love your cocktail menu :-)
There was a power outage in the morning, affecting part of the hotel and the staff handled it well and calmly. We will be back. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant experience again.
