"The restaurant that is highly lauded in some reviews did not exist. Once there, the owner’s son tells me that they close the restaurant during the slow season….which was NOT disclosed when I booked. It’s in a very secluded area but a drive to restaurants about 15 mins away. There’s a restaurant next door, but the opening time depends on their mood, one day was 10am and next day was 11am. They were both weekdays. They don’t clean the rooms so I had to walk to front desk for new towels and water....

"Private pool villa was fantastic, rooms very comfortable, inside and outside shower, large spa tub and all very private. Absolutely loved the pool, easy access and the water temp was great. Resort breakfast was the standard type but plenty of options. Resort was quiet but not peak period yet. Large pool with kids area and big waterslide too. Easy walk through the back of the resort and you’re right into the main street of Khao Lak. Right on the beach and the restaurant was great as well. Would...
