"I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and this has got to be one of the worst check-in experiences I’ve ever had. Why does everyone have to show photo ID? It’s officious and over-reaching. I’ve paid up front, I’ve provided a rather hefty £100 deposit and I’ve shown my ID…. Why does everyone else? It’s only by luck my partner had ID with him when he arrived later otherwise the Reception seriously were saying they weren’t going to let him stay. Very stressful experience, not what you want when checking into a relaxing boutique hotel. Absolutely would not recommend "
