Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Inclusive - Adults only - All inclusive

"Although the resort is a little dated, it was well maintained, and the staff did an excellent job keeping the facilities clean. The food was decent overall. There weren’t any dishes that were particularly impressive, but the staff always did their best to provide good service, and everything was generally enjoyable. The pool was also kept very clean. Unfortunately, due to the season I visited, the sea water was affected by seaweed, so I wasn’t able to see the beautiful turquoise color I had expected. There were, however, a few downsides. The staff’s frequent sales pitches for additional services offered on-site were quite disruptive, especially when we were trying to relax and enjoy our time at the resort. Also, the juice and coffee bar located in front of the Mosaic buffet restaurant was the only place where I encountered unfriendly service. I visited twice, and both times I was helped by different employees. Unfortunately, both of them responded to my orders as if serving me was a bother. Other than that, the staff throughout the resort were incredibly warm and welcoming and truly made us feel happy and comfortable. In particular, the bell staff at the main entrance, especially the older gentleman who seemed to be the leader, made us feel genuinely welcomed and gave us such a warm and friendly first impression. The rest of the staff were just as kind and welcoming. We truly had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Thank you so much for making our vacation special!"

"We stayed here and enjoyed our time quite a bit. We had a few small bumps on arrival. The water went out twice during the first two days and we woke up after our first night with no power in our room due to a tripped breaker, which meant we had roast until the host saw my message and sent maintenance. The host was quick to respond and the utilities were never out for an extended period. I appreciated the problems being fixed quickly. The property itself is gorgeous, and our room was spotless. One of the pools had an algae issue when we arrived, but it was resolved and we were able to use it on our final day. The jellyfish restaurant and Ciello beach club are great places to eat and drink. Be warned, they are the only places to eat and drink. The property is down about a half mile road that was flooded near the complex gates. Walking anywhere is out of the question. However, we didn’t have any problem ordering Uber to pick us up. Everyone we interacted with at the complex was nice. It was pretty empty, but we expected that since it’s the off-season. Overall, if you want a more relaxed and private experience, this may be a good spot for you. If you’re doing Punta Cana for the first time, you may feel a little left out of the all-inclusive scene."

"The good : - Landscape - Common areas - Pool - There tons of loose tiles all over . - Food was Good but NO seafood at all . The bad : - Rooms ( Buildings 1-4 ) need some urgent remodel work . Rooms are clean but the condition of the rooms is worse every time i go back . Rust all over the handles / by the shower . The drainage system on the showers is Horrible and looks dirty all the time even if clean . Please guys we know this can get better . . A/C needs work . All this rooms should get remodel ASAP . - No seafood ( only seafood rice with 3-4 shrimps - Beach ( i KNOW is not hotel faults the sargassum but looks awful) - Pool is loosing all the tiles . This needs to be fixed as is not looking good . I have been staying at the hotel for the last 3 years and i don’t consider myself as picky person. But may not return to the hotel again it they dont take actions with the Rooms quality and the Pool . Personal is Ok . Costumer service Ok . But you guys will lost a lot of clients if the quality of the rooms wont get better . This hotel Is going down the hill and is Sad to see it . Because the place is beautiful."
