"First we got here at around 9:30 pm. We got our keys and while driving to go to the room we saw people out side cutting hair. With chair and everything. No parking, we had to park far distance. Traveling with 2 kids it did not feel safe. While walking to the room we saw people with their doors open so anybody can see and somebody tried to sell me drugs while driving. The place looked like a dorm for lower income families. We get to our rooms and no phone and the refrigerator did not work. Looked like it stopped working a day or so before we got there since their was cool water from the freezer on the bottom. Now for the worst part. There was a toilet paper roll that was wet ....like it fell in the toilet and placed on the top metal shelf. This i had never seen before and disgusting and left on the top where we saw it. Then the following day we went on on a tour and zoo and other places and when we came back the roll that was on the shelf was placed on the toilet dispensor on the wall next to the toilet. WHAT KIND OF MANAGEMENT OR CLEANING PERSON WOULD PUT A DIRTY WATERED LOOKING TOILET PAPER ROLL THAT YOU CAN EASILY SEE IT IS NO GOOD IN THE SPACE WHERE YOU PLACE THE PAPER NEXT TO THE TOILET. We were in shock and just a WOW. Horrible. The pillows had no puffy to them. Old and run down. Not sure how this hotel room has a rating of above 7. Needs to be a 4 or 5 or less. POOL HAD NO WATER AT ALL. pay more and go somewhere else. DID NOT FEEL SAFE PARKING OR SLEEPING. "

" Beautiful getaway for the weekend. We enjoyed the property tour and ghost tour staff was incredible and knowledgeable. 1796 restaurant was incredible. They really made our anniversary special. We stayed in the Judge Clark Woodruff Suite and definitely experienced several paranormal encounters. Definitely worth a stay if you like ghost stories and paranormal activities. "

"I am amaze on how clean the hotel is. my room looked like it was new, I think they are doing a good job in the maintenance of this hotel. The staff were very friendly. The hot breakfast was as good as you can have in a hotel. I would stay in this hotel again..."
