"My wife and I had a lovely stay in Charlestown at Honeysuckle Cottage for 5 nights. The house is well equipped and 10 minutes walk from the famous historic harbour which we were visiting for the first time. The nearest pub is even closer. There is limited parking outside the cottage but plenty of free street parking nearby. As it was, we were lucky and only once could not park near the cottage. There is a dehumidifier in the kitchen. It should be pointed out that this needs emptying of water...

"This accomodation is amazing, however if you are taking a pet dog you need to know that the beach/local paths do not allow dogs between end of March to October. Not clear in hotels.com info. We walked from the local path down towards the beach saw the sign saying no dogs on the beach so walked by the quay side- unbeknown to us due to poor signage was also no dogs, only to be aggressive confronted by a nasty local man. Put a bit of a downer on being in such a nice property so close to beach."

This could be superb if the Owners upgraded a few items such as signage to identify where the unit is, motion detection lights on the very dark entrance alley, toilet roll holders (!) and change the carpets and some furniture. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. "Clean rooms, lived the Earl Grey teas. Breakfast was very good, my wife often ordered from the menu. Staff were attentive, reception always smiled. Grounds were clean, the pool looked inviting, would have definitely used in warmer days. Although the room was very clean the shower was all open plan with the bedroom, which was strange. The sink could have been deeper made shaving difficult. All very modern but not practical. But none of that spoiled our long weekend. Would go again especially as its do close to the Eden Project."

"You can't get more practical of a stay location: I was here for 2 nights to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. I managed to quickly drop off my luggage before check in (it's only a few mins walk from the train/bus station) and turn right around in time to catch the bus to the Gardens. Breakfast was great both times and highly appreciated. My room was super big and my bed was really comfy."
