The Mission Church of St Francis. The established Anglican church had a problem in late 19th century Cornwall, their churches were centred on pre-industrial parishes and were often remote from the new industrial settlements. The answer was to set up mission churches like this one which was built in 1884.

"The hotel, staff, restaurant and location are excellent However the rooms facing the lane are extremely noisy... we were woken up at 7.30am by loud truck deliveries and garbage trucks... and late at night, the hotel staff would gather and talk loudly just below the hotel room windows.
