Safari Tentalow in South Africa

"The staff were fantastic. Our guide, Caswell, was awesome, as were the staff. Can't say enough good things about the people - they are lovely."

"Exceptional stay at Camp Figtree - the staff were absolutely outstanding and there was nothing that wasn't anticipated. Meals were superb, game drives were wonderful, nature walk was tremendous, and simply lying around the pool was amazing. Everything was out of this world."

"Everything was excellent we had a really good time and saw the big 5 in one day!!!"

"Quiet, close to nature, many antelope and birds"

"We loved our 3 nights stay! The whole staff was very friendly and present when needed. We loved our drives with Sarah and Joseph, their knowledge, patience and enthusiasm made the drives extra special. They made great effort to see the animals we wanted to see on each drives. We saw the big 5 from really close, multiple times! We loved the terrace in our lodge facing the river, during breaks we would watch elephants, waterbuck and hippos cross the river. The food was diverse and very good....

"Awesome hotel and very friendly staff. Very good location to the crocodile bridge gate! We also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner"

"Staff very friendly and helpful"

"Amazing experience and very kind staff in the Camp and on the Safaris!"

"Absolutely amazing! My Wife and I loved everything about Sausage Tree. The staff, game drives, food, and tents were all great!"

"The location of the resort right on the Orange river was great with our tent unit on the river bank. The amenities inside the tent as well as the main reception and restaurant/bar area is a very relaxing vibe with huge screen tv's in 2 areas for sport lovers."

"The supper and breakfast buffet was excellent. We loved everything about this Lodge ….. staff, accommodation, service, linen, loved it all and would definitely come back"

"Tshokwane advertises max 6 per vehicle but on 2 of our 4 game drives we had to use the middle seat despite our objections, whilst other vehicles went out with spare window seats, ie fewer than 6 people. No night time drives, and walking safari is instead of a game drive. We went at end of season and everything was running out; soap, food items, canned drinks. Tents were beautifully clean and well presented."

"Amazing staff, food was delicious and room was very cozy"

"Absolutely Loved it"

"Annie was really nice, the children loved the dogs, we saw giraffes while eating our lunch and the bed was superb!! So we absolutely lives is!!"

"Amazing experience, staff and guide, tracker showed us an unforgettable time"

"Great place to stay. Authentic, great vibe. "

"I should preface this review by saying that I am a professional wildlife photographer and that I have stayed at dozens of safari lodges all over Southern and Eastern Africa from very high end, expensive locations to budget camps. This safari camp caters mostly for tourists wanting a very basic safari/wildlife experience. The game drives are relatively short, repetitive in their route and unremarkable compared to the upmarket lodges where the guides and trackers will ensure much more exciting...

"We stayed at Simbavati Camp George. The staff at the lodge were fantastic. The guide Alex was very knowledge and entertaining. He made efforts to teach us about wildlife and birds. The food was delicious and the menu was different every night. Simbavati lives up to their reputation. We will be back, They gave us a simbavati water bottle as a souvenir. "

"Nice basic tents in a wonderful environment, run by friendly local people."
