As one of Southeast Asia's most popular business conference destinations, it should not come as a surprise that Singapore is full of high quality business hotels. In fact, there are a total of 190 business hotels in Singapore.
Many business hotels in Singapore, however, come at a steep price, especially between Christmas and Chinese New Year. Other times of year when Singapore business accommodation fills up fast include periods when there are large conventions and the time of the annual F1 race. Advance booking is a must during all of these busy times of year.
The largest percentage of business hotels in Singapore is found on Orchard Road, best known as Singapore's leading shopping district. However, this busy thoroughfare contains almost as many luxury five-star hotel chains as high-end shopping centres. Four Seasons, Hilton, and Marriott are all represented on Orchard Road.
The central business district, otherwise known as Riverside, contains another cluster of high-end business hotels in Singapore. Riverside properties tend to be more historic than the more contemporary chain hotels which dominate Orchard Road. No place to stay in all of Singapore, however, is more famous or expensive than the legendary Raffles Hotel.
Two more noteworthy Singapore accommodation choices are the former Raffles the Plaza, now called Fairmont, and the Fullerton Hotel, whose location is Singapore's former central post office. Crowne Plaza Hotel Changi Airport is a good three-star option for visitors who want to both save money and stay close to Changi Airport, whose Terminal 3 is directly linked to this conveniently located property.
Sentosa Island's Capella Singapore Hotel may be the best place to combine business with pleasure on Singapore's best known island retreat. All Singapore business hotels, however, come with all of the modern business conveniences money can buy. These include high tech conference rooms, easily available internet access, and fully-equipped business centres with dedicated staff on hand to assist clients.
