"One of the best places Iโve stayed in a long time. Stayed here with my son as a stop of point on a โroad tripโ and what a place!! Hit the driving range and the meal in the restaurant was fantastic!! The staff were very friendly and even willing to have a joke and carry on with my wee son. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!! Would love to try a long weekend and the golf course as it looks to be in great condition!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay for two nights at Battlesteads. Two things really stood out - the food was excellent (except chips - a minor thing), and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming without being overbearing. The last point, about how all staff were nice to interact with, was a major selling point and is why we will return. A special shout out to Dan ("Dan, Dan, the beverage man") for being so helpful and recommending Flyte - a top tip! Ad Gefrin sold two bottles to us as a result! Such a pleasant time, great food, and drink, and an impressive walking guide (which we used) and an observatory on the door step!"

"Room was fine, although the soap dispensers leave a mess on the wall. A pool area is closed but we could swim in the river which was probably better. Beautiful view from the restaurant for the ok food. Breakfast a little underwhelming."
