"We stayed five nights at this resort. The grounds are very nice and well maintained, and the beach and outdoor areas are attractive. Unfortunately the rest of the experience did not live up to the five-star standard advertised. The rooms appear to be finished with fairly low-quality materials – our first room had cracked tiles, scuffed furniture, and poorly finished bathroom surfaces. Parts of the resort are extremely loud and we had to move rooms after the first night due to excessive music volumes played late at night. Be wary of buffet food that appears to have been sitting out for some time, as this caused illness during our stay. Though Sandeep in the Indian restaurant cooked nice fresh, well made food. Later in the trip we also had no running water in our room for most of a day due to a broken pipe and had to move rooms again late in the evening. Service overall was inconsistent and often sub-par, especially at reception. That said, Islam at the front desk was excellent and very helpful when dealing with our room change. There were also some excellent staff in the restaurants/beach. Overall, while the grounds are beautiful, the room quality, maintenance and service fell well short of what we would expect from a luxury five-star resort. Hotel gave us some token gestures and asked us to sign a form to say we wouldn’t leave a negative review. "

"From the moment we arrived to departure,the welcome we got was so wonderful from the staff. We have been to Egypt over 12 times and would not go to any other hotel than the sierra. The staff at this hotel are great and really hard working.they can’t do enough for you"

"Checkin was disappointing , not accommodating at all and cranky every time we had to deal with the front desk. It would not hurt to smile at the guests. We have been here 3 other times and seems to be getting worse. Very disappointed. "

"JAZ Belvedere has got to be one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Lovely staff, spacious rooms, amazing pool and beach. Several activities such as Zumba on the beach, kids disco in the evenings, a kids club with crafts and games. Food for vegetarians wasn’t the greatest as part of the buffet however luckily the chef made sure we were fed well and cooked suitable dishes everyday. Breakfast was the best with lots of options from eggs to various types of bread, lots of fresh fruit and veg too. A pasta bar everyday during lunch and dinner was great too. Our first time in Egypt and we will definitely come back again. "

"The AC was not working on the very first night of my stay. The maintenance person came in twice to fix it with little effect. I called the reception desk the third time and he snapped at me with “what do you mean it’s still not working?!” I asked to speak with a manager. I explained to the manager the situation and he kept justifying the receptionist’s rude response. I was finally moved to another room at 2 am in the morning after a 26 hour flight from Canada. The room was clean. The food was good with many options but was the same everyday which got boring. One of the people from the animation team who I had only met once briefly. He asked for my number to invite me to a party outside the hotel but I refused. Later that day, I was sitting with another guest at the billiard bar. He came over uninvited and squeezed himself between me and her and decided to “joke” by hitting my hand with the pool stick like it was a billiard ball while I had it resting on my knee. The chalk came all over my hand and pants. I whipped off my hand on him and he started yelling and threatening me and making a scene at the bar. "

"We stayed for a week in one of the rooms looking over the Red Sea in the Posh Club. The room was spotless and spacious. The staff were fantastic in every respect. We enjoyed all of the restaurants. The transfers to and from the airport were flawless. The laundry service was outstanding. We definitely would love to come back. Thanks to Hanna, Hassan and many others who made the stay special. The Spa and message therapy was also wonderful. "

"Room was dirty, worn down, and full of mosquitoes. Resort itself was subpar, not really the greatest. The area it’s in, is nice. Walkable distance to soho market. "
