"We stayed a week at Sophia Luxury Suites and had a wonderful stay. The location is wonderful - IF you understand the fact that there are stairs - and LOTS of them. Dining options close by - they just opened a restaurant right below the room. Understand that in Santorini and these cave rooms - they are located right along public walkways and the windows are open air. There will be people walking by your room at any hour of the day or night - if you understand that and accept it as part of the experience it is no big deal. We stayed right at the shoulder season and everything was just in the process of opening - the staff were still learning and there were a few bumps in the road - wrong deliveries of room service choices - but nothing major and nothing we were concerned about considering the circumstances. When you choose these locations and travel during the off season - then go in with your eyes open and embrace the experience. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would do so again! The staff was pleasant and attentive - and learning! "

The swimming pools were beautifully maintained and added to the overall serene atmosphere. "We had requested twin beds, and they did their best to accommodate us. The rooms were nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay there. They let us leave our luggage there as we arrived in the morning and couldn’t check in. We went out to see the town. When we returned we had our rooms. When we checked out we again left our luggage there as we had a tour before our flight back to Athens. They were very accommodating to us. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Santorini. "
