Breakfast was included which we did not expect - thank you for everything!

We had a fab stay here! Arranged them to pick us up at the airport which was seamless. We arrived at the hotel quite late, around 23:30 and they were still welcoming and even upgraded our room. The pool area is lovely, just limited sun loungers. Breakfast was also great with something for everyone!

Such lovely and helpful staff! My room was very spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommend as a good hotel straight from the airport.

Loved this place, it was so quiet and relaxed. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious - try the pupusas!

Location was perfect for spotting birds and doing short (10-30 minutes) drives to other good birding locations. We booked the room with balcony. The room was clean and the bed was good. Patrica is the lady that manages everything. She also cooked great meals for us. So please order the lunch and dinner also there. We are very happy and enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!

What a wonderful start to our holiday in Costa Rica! The Cariari is a lovely, comfortable place to stay, and Laurie is the most welcoming host we have ever stayed with. She gave us a glass of wine and snack in the evening, and chatted with us for 20 minutes. She also sat with us and the other guests at breakfast. I'd say this is one of the loveliest bed & breakfasts I've ever stayed in. The gardens are truly beautiful and it was awesome to wake up and look out at the flowers, plants and amazing wildlife taking in all the nectar. Jnana made us the best breakfast of our trip - it was truly awesome. They were so welcoming and friendly as hosts, and we felt very much at home there. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We drove to the hotel from San Jose airport. The road is good but lots of bends as you drive up towards Grecia. Our sat nav found it easily. It is in the countryside in a non touristy village (which added to its charm) and we were able to walk to the restaurants. There is a kitchen and dining area where you can get beer or wine and sit and chat to other people. You are surrounded by a lovely garden.

Great - clean - accessible

Really enjoyed our stay – it was very comfortable and felt almost like home. The owners were welcoming, helpful, and thoughtful, even preparing a breakfast for our early departure. The location was great, just a short walk to the town, beach, and supermarket. Bonus: Penelope the cat added some feisty character!
