"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. "This was our first time staying in an onsen hotel. The property is loaded with amenities: an on-site hot and cold water onsen, a lounge with 24 hours of free drinks, a happy hour with wine included. Our room was gorgeous, with tatami mat floors and comfortable beds they set up. We had a glass wall shower and views of Lake Biwaka. My only criticism is that some of the furnishings seem a bit dated. But everything else was spectacular."

Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs

"My family and I stayed at Onyado in kyoto for one night. We had stayed in the osaka location prior and had a pleasant stay overall. This location was a much bigger and busier hotel and a little less clean (the tatami mats in the room were a bit more aged and little more dirty in some spots). otherwise the hallways and common spaces were clean. we appreciated being able to check into our room an hour early as it was ready and also enjoyed the breakfast buffet and onsen. the onsen was spacious and had several different bath options. The location was also central to kyoto station and the kyoto tower. Easy to catch a cab from to/from this location as well. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families or anyone looking to have a onsen and comfortable and central stay (to the station) while visiting kyoto."

"Our stay was very nice calmed and relaxed. The onsen was beautiful and very tidy. Unfortunately our room and designated bathroom had a very particular smell and the toilets smelled like urine :( but it didn’t ruin our stay. The host was very very helpful (a bit rushed at times but understandably as he runs the whole place). The food is delicious! You are served a traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner. The host offered a lift to the station twice, if this is the case for you don’t be late like us because being late is a disrespectful act in Japan! (We were 2 mins late, still not a nice thing to do!). Check out is a bit earlier than usual but it was ok, we were charged a hot spring tax per night at the end of the check out which is ok I just understood that was included in the payment (read the facility details) but apparently it was not, We didn’t mind. Overall we found it peaceful and quiet which was what we were looking for anyways."

"They offered free shuttle service to the nearest JR stations. Nice quiet area for a hot spring vacation. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package, and the food was fabulous and very authentic. It was my second time returning Yumotokan, and everything had been maintained up to standard or even better. Highly recommended!"
