"*cockroach alert* I wish I could write a good review; I was excited… on Hotels.com it had a 9* recommendation rating. The rooms were poor quality - kept tripping over the rug, the fan was loud and struggling, the bathroom vanity was dirty, especially near the toilet, floors covered with sand. As soon as I found the roach in the vanity (it was dead btw), I quickly packed up our things as we had to be out by 11am. I spoke to the mgr. Karol and she was very matter or fact with zero compassion. It was perplexing- I have a background in hospitality and I was stunned - the front desk staff, and restaurant staff were nicer. She ended up waiving the resort fee and hotels.com credited $50. It was “fair”, but Karol could have appeared to have cared - this hotel is 2*, I would never stay there again, and I hate to say it, hard pass. Avoid."

"Other than the harassment over timeshare, which we had to put down a $250 deposit for the meeting in order to get our key. It wasn't too bad. We actually came down here because we had a relative in critical care in ICU and we were more concentrated on that than trying to be sold something we really didn't want. If there is a charge for us not showing up for the timeshare presentation I will dispute it with Expedia. I'm also going to put in their Expedia notes that we were really pressured to buy something we did not want."

"There wasn’t anything I came across that needed immediate attention other than the commode tank was awfully warm the water intake was hot… I reported it, seems they may have had repair done and the hook up is wrong… they said they’d have someone come look but no one came… it wasn’t affecting our stay and I did report it. I am not going to chase that it was reported. That’s on them."

"Our room was very nice. The restaurant staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The overall property was not great. The pool was overrun by screaming children. Too few chairs for the number of guests. Surly staff. Simple requests were not filled. Room was not cleaned thoroughly. "

"Two comments: 1- About the room, it was very comfortable and quiet during the night. Just one recommendation to keep improving. There were some dust behind the TV table, next to the 120V power split that connects a few devices(microwave, fridge and the TV ) 2- We (my wife and myself) were very well impressed with the front desk attendant's proactiveness during our check in. She followed us to the room to make sure that it had all the appliances and that they were working well. We made a quick check on everything and she went back to the front desk. Great job Mrs.(I don't have her name)."

"Such a great spot for a short stay.. affordable, comfortable, and very well-kept. The building itself is a bit older, but everything is clean and clearly well maintained. You can hear a bit of noise from outside at times, but nothing that felt disruptive, though I imagine it could be a little busier during peak season. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the reception area feels fresh and updated. A highlight for me was the restaurant, Lola on the water, delicious food, a beautiful pool, and a relaxing canal view that really elevates the experience. Only 5 min walk to Pompano Beach! Overall, I’d rate it a solid 9/10. A great choice if you’re looking for a charming independent hotel."
