This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my nearly 30 years of hotel staying. Let me start with some positives. (1) within distance to airport, <10 minutes drive; (2) price OK; (3) room facility decent although not as good as other Novotel Suites; (4) generally clean; (5) a shuttle-bus service (of course we all need to pay for it) to the airport, which is convenient.
Now comes to the bad part. 1. Essentially, this hotel is extremely bad managed. I will come to the detail at the end. 2. There is hardly any service, and the receptionist was not interested in talking or helping customers. 3. The building/room is outdated, and it is not at all up to the minimum standard of Novotel Suites.
Details of the bad experience: To make the long story short, they charged us one extra room fee (about €120), which they should not have charged, and they never paid back, despite calls and emails.
We booked a family room for three and the confirmation clearly stated it is a family suite having one double bed and two twin beds. But we only got a room having one double bed, but no other beds at all. I went to the reception for a solution. He spent a long time and made many calls and finally gave me an additional room. I actually was cautious and said to him this should be free. He said of course. But charged us. The hotel never refund, but finally Hotels.com paid back with their own fund.
There are other negatives. Anyway I would definitely suggest people avoid staying there.
