Crown Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Loved the whole setting, theme and welcoming staff and professionalism. Beautiful area with a river walk that is a must. Couldn’t be better for a quiet short break."
The Anvil Inn
10/10 Excellent
"A cosy historic Inn with very comfy beds and excellent food in the restaurant - we enjoyed lunch; dinner and our breakfast (that was included). It was great to see so many people enjoying meals there on a Monday night, so clearly popular with locals. The staff were warm and friendly. There is one accessible room on the ground floor but all others were on the first floor which is accessed by a short but steep (turning)nflight of stairs......my 92 yr old mum struggled up and down & was quite breathless from the exersion. If you are over 5ft 6 you'll need to lower your head along the corridor but it's consitant with an 18 Century Inn and all rooms are of normal height. Our beds (2 single) were very comfy & the room was quiet- even with the window open for fresh air. A shelf in the bathroom would have helped with a place for toiletries......other than that, if was a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend to all who can manage stairs comfortably."
The Oak at Dewlish
10/10 Excellent
"Really friendly local pub, all staff friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Nice quiet area. The food was really good and the beds comfortable. Will definitely stay again next time we're in the area."
The Hunters Moon
8/10 Good
"We had a nice overnight stay. it was a halfway house between Cornwall and east Sussex. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was really good and well organised. The only issue we had was the curtains in our room (no.2) . They don't stretch all the way across, several hooks were missing and the middle bracket looked as if it was about to fall out the wall! We ended up holding it all together with pegs we'd travelled with Other than that all was good - a lovely old pub in a lovely part of England."
Greyhound Inn Freehouse
10/10 Excellent
"Compact clean room, friendly helpful staff and excellent value. The pub is well stocked with good beer and a decent selection of alcohol free offerings. The food is excellent and again, decent value if you stay for an evening meal, which I would recommend. The included breakfast was again great. There's plenty of parking but beware if you have a very long car as getting into a space could be awkward when it's full. Definitely recommended"
Holbrook Manor & Spa.
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely wonderful staff, we got upgraded to a suite which was a bonus as it was our wedding anniversary. Treatment area is absolutely amazing and so relaxing, you can sit pre and post treatment to relax. Treatment was amazing!! Despite us being informed that a member of staff was off sick in the morning, so my husband and I had half the treatment time each, it was still amazing. Lunch was decent and breakfast was cooked upon request and tasted good. Thank you for a memorable experience!! The only downside was that there are no restaurants nearby, so we had to get a cab to the nearest one which proved a nightmare when trying to get back around 11."
La Fleur de Lys

"We had 5 nights at this gorgeous hotel. Everything about it was good, staff and owners, food excellent, the rooms spot on. Village centre minutes away and very pleasant. We would highly recommend a stay, you won't be disappointed."
