Beautifully appointed hotel in lovely countryside.A delightful area with interesting country villages close by and easy access to Bristol.

We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms.

The Anchor is a village pub with some rooms at the back. We were in "Lavers" which, I suspect, is the smallest room but perfectly fine for the two of us. The room itself was immaculate, clean with good quality fittings and views over open countryside. We only had a small shower room but again well appointed. Breakfast is do-it-yourself with a toaster and kettle in the room but there was fresh orange, bottled water, butter and milk ( real milk, not UHT) in the fridge, and cereals, bread and a...

Wow! What an amazing two days. We stayed in the King Henry VIII Suite, which was such a fantastic experience. The restaurant meals were superb and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed here before with friends. Highly Recommend.

Really lovely stay - friendly staff in a small pub in Combe Down open for evening meals during the week, and open for lunch onwards at the weekend. We had a lovely welcome, preordered breakfast for the next morning which was really delicious, and was shown to our room upstairs. A lovely view of the white horse in the distance and a comfy bed, with lovely furnishings. We would stay again.

We had a fantastic stay here in one of the new deluxe rooms. The room was incredibly comfortable, very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a large bathroom. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot dishes (special praise for the eggs benedict) alongside fruit juices, pastries, yogurt etc. We also had an evening meal in the pub which was again very nice. Beautiful accommodation, helpful staff and easy to find!

Lovely little hide away hotel with a sweet little courtyard with very pleasant out door dining. Very efficient staff in the restuarant, excellent service, excellent food. Whole experience was a pleasure. Only issue was we had to pay for overnight parking,which run out at 9am in the morning.

Lovely place to stay - beautiful part of Bath, we walked everywhere with ease,(galleries, shops, cinema, restaurants etc) and they serve a fantastic breakfast. Sweet staff.

We had 2 rooms at this property , we needed storage for 3 bikes overnight and this was not a problem. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, there was even a guest sitting room. Breakfast was very nice would stay again and recommend it

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so friendly. We had a guided tour on arrival and the room was so spacious and well decorated, would absolutely recommend to anyone.

This hotel is worth ten stars, the staff are so professional and friendly, food is amazing, spa is upkept to perfection standards and extremely relaxing, all set in the the most beautiful surroundings. Beds very comfortable, especially the pillows, rooms are large and when you drive away from this piece of heaven, you start booking your next stay in your mind.

The staff at the Dorian House were fantastic. Made us feel so welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The room was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Excellent choice of Breakfasts which on both occasions was very nice. Overall it was probably one of the nicest places we have ever stayed and cant recommend highly enough. Looking forward to our next visit.

If you want to treat yourself to a fabulous hotel, this is the place. A very comfortable and relaxing place to be. Attentive staff, where nothing seemed too much trouble. And a truly fantastic restaurant. For us this was a very rare treat, but what a treat it was!
