"Spent 4 nights at the ITC Royal Bengal with two young kids. We were thoroughly impressed by the property, the food but more so the service. During breakfast, the executive chef Mr Ranvijay personally came up and enquired how we were doing. When he saw we have a baby with us, he gave us his personal number so that we can ask for anything for the baby. Which we did and they were always delivered to us right on time. We can't thank him enough for his help. I am going to stay at this place every time I am in Kolkata."

"The Elgin hotel is a beautiful old lady that needs a little bit of an up left but to compensate for that the quality of the food and the service and the interaction with the staff is five stars plus, I would definitely recommend anyone that’s looking for a wonderful place to stay to stay there we will gladly stay there again. "LaLiT is a historic building, near the colonial seat of power when Calcutta was the capital of the British Raj. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic, not to mention crowded. But the staff were wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and will stay there again when we are next in Kolkata."
