"Last minute get away, found this place for a reasonable (for the area) rate and booked it. No regrets. Pacific Grove is a lovely, walkable community. The room is a bit dated, but very clean, water pressure good, bed was ok, ample parking on site. Just what we needed, as our main focus was to explore the area. Walked to the lighthouse, John Denver memorial, down around Ocean Dr.,and back up to Lighthouse Ave. to grab a bite.(Red House Cafe!!) Monarch Resort has a friendly, welcoming front desk and just what you need for breakfast to head out on your way for the day. Will book again!! ◡̈ "

"Located just across from Asilomar entrance, less than 5 minutes walk to conference center and dining hall (can buy meal tickets for attending conferences), closer than many rooms on site, but much more private and quiet. The buildings look worn/old, but the rooms were large, clean, and comfortable with a gas fireplace, sitting area, bathroom with large jacuzzi tub/shower, tv, microwave and fridge, wet bar, and better than expected local drip coffee. The rooms were very quiet and it was easy to walk to and from Asilomar for a conference. The walkways were well lit coming back at night, with a bus stop directly in front, 4 way intersection for crossing the road, and very few cars, so it was extremely convenient. The maid was very nice."

"Location was great - close to beach and golf and downtown PG. Room was very nice with comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean but a little small. Breakfast was great - hot food, big selection. No electric car charger. Will stay here again. "
