The Paramount Hotel

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Paramount. Our check in was smooth and the front desk staff and door persons were very helpful in our arrival and departure. The lobby bar had decent food and drinks as well. One note is that downtown Portland is not what it used to be. You have to be aware of where the sketchy parts are. That being said, the area around the hotel are very safe and the Portland Museum of Art is just a few blocks away and worth the visit."

"I chose this hotel for its price and convenient location near the airport, and it was exactly what I needed. I arrived around midnight and was picked up promptly by the complimentary airport shuttle. Just be aware that you'll need to call the hotel upon arrival so they can dispatch the shuttle. The ride to the hotel was quick, check-in was easy, and my room was spotless. The furnishings were comfortable, the bed was clean and cozy, and there were plenty of toiletries provided. I simply needed a place to sleep, freshen up, and head back out the next morning, and this hotel was perfect for that purpose. While there isn't a complimentary breakfast, coffee and tea are available, along with a small selection of frozen meals and snacks. I grabbed a tuna salad and crackers, which worked well to tide me over. One helpful tip: rideshare vehicles and taxis cannot pull directly up to the hotel entrance because the gate only allows guest vehicles to enter. If you're departing by Uber or taxi, plan to wheel your luggage out to the parking lot entrance to meet your driver. **Overall, this was a clean, comfortable, and affordable airport hotel with friendly service and an efficient shuttle. I'd gladly stay here again.**"
