"This was at second stay at this Clarion (both times to visit relatives in Portland.)
Thanks to business travel, a lot of time has been spent in hotels, but few of them actually have a knack for making guests feel welcome. Often it feels like you're intruding on the staff by being there, but there's never any sense of that here.
It has all the things you would expect, and nice extras like the always-full pot in the lobby. (A lifesaver for someone who is usually up at 4 AM and doesn't want to wake the others in the room by running the coffee machine.)
No place is perfect, of course, and on the downside, the buffet breakfast had sausage instead of bacon this time around. (Please bring back the bacon! Bacon good…) But that's about the only criticism. Well, maybe they could replace the Windows PC's in the business center with Macs and get their own 5G tower? (Ain't gonna happen, I know, but I can dream.)
This is definitely going to be our go-to place for future visits to Portland."
