"Stairs in our room up to be a little scary at night. Beware the breakfast. We changed reservations for the last day, and learned that breakfast was NOT included. Was 29 euros...very steep. Beware: This wasnt clear! Shuttle to airport convenient but expensive. Alilaguna about a 12 minute walk and less than half the cost."

"Hotel Monte Carlo staff went above and beyond . They were gracious , informative , and made sure every need was taken care of . We loved our apartment with a beautiful view of the canal and gondolas . They were great about arranging us transportation both from the airport and also to the port in Chioggia. Again, couldn’t be happier with our experience ."

"Staff very friendly. The only positive. Wasn’t concerned initially due to good ratings but room was in a dire state. Numerous cracks/peeling paint, loose power sockets, chip in the sink with cracked porcelain, not particularly clean, curtains did not cover the whole window. Avoid at all costs "

"Nasty little man one morning at the desk. Older, sour. The rest of th time front was staffed by helpful professionals. Property is very old but well maintained. PLease note: the Amadeus is right on the main drag from the train station. These is howver, a nice little garden at the enter of the property. Very convenient if you're using Venice S. Maria station."
