Located in Venice's Castello neighbourhood, Hotel Ai Reali di Venezia is in the city centre and near a train station. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Grand Canal and Giardini della Biennale, while La Fenice Opera House and Palazzo Grassi are cultural highlights. Our guests love the hotel's location for the sightseeing.

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids and ended-up being in a flat 400 m from the hotel. It belongs to the hotel, but it's like an airbnb, no daily clean-up, no hotel services. (Yes, you can walk 400 m in the streets of Venice to use the gym etc, but it turns out to be like an airbnb not a hotel). If I wanted an airbnb, I would have booked it. Anyway, location was good, staff replied our mails. For that price, I would have liked a hotel ...
Even before we arrived the staff were so very helpful. Emails were answered by return and our transfers organised seamlessly by the hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious, the breakfasts were lovely with plenty of choice. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and were very impressed with the quality and service. Highly recommend this small, friendly hotel in the heart of Venice.
My room was not connected to the hotel. It is quite beautiful but i showed up to check in at midnight after having called that i would be late and I was handed a map and told that my booking was on another address than was listed on my booking confirmation. It took us 2 hours of being lost and dragging our luggage up and down alleyways and steps before finally locating our hotel. We called the reception several time but he was the only one on duty so he could not help us and was quite rude. None of the amenities listed were available including towels and basic amenities. My unit was not close to the Rialto Bridge which was why i paid the premium price to begin with.
