"Reception person was very pleasant and checking easy. Our room was fully refurbished, new, very clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning was a little noisier than we were used to, so at night we turned it off and opened the window, which worked well for us in early June. No restaurant, but there were a few restaurants nearby."

"The staff was wonderful, but I wish we had been informed earlier about the pool renovation. We were asked upon arrival if we wanted to cancel our reservation because the pool was being renovated. Unfortunately, that wasn’t really an option for us since we were already there and had booked three rooms. It would have been much more helpful to receive notice at least a day in advance so we could have planned accordingly. We were a little disappointed, especially because the kids were so excited to swim. Other than that, our experience was good, and the staff was very accommodating."

"The hotel was wonderful, especially for a historical place. Really enjoyed my stay. I would've given the hotel 5 stars had if not been for the swing shift Front Desk agent. I don't know her name as she didn't wear a name tag. She had a bad attitude from the point I walked in and said, "Hello." The rest of the staff was good."

"You have to recalibrate your expectations for a "resort". There is little lodging available in this part of the Owens valley and prices reflect it. The property is very dusty desert and the poor fit and finish of the cabins means dust gets inside. There is debris scattered around outside. I ran into a large board laying about with nails poking up through it. Electrical outlets in the cabin were failing - plugs routinely fall out. The door lock striker plate was poorly fixed to the broken jam, and had to be fiddled with constantly to get the door to close. Windows don't work properly or at all. Kitchen cabinets were labeled with "pots" and "pans", etc but but the only items provided were two dishes, two cups and a toaster. No utensils, pots, pans or any other kitchenware. The only way to use the toaster was to have it dangle over the sink where there was an outlet. The refrigerator barely kept items cold and made a grotesque and very loud creaking sound when opened. The cafe was nice but was open randomly, not according to the posted hours. It would not take that much effort to fix up the place, but there seems to be no motivation to do so."

Room is a bit too light at night for me loving total darkness and air conditioning is a bit noisy Great small pool…. lounges would be a nice addition but perfect temperature Within walking distance to many eating places and across the street from a beautiful park with a stream running through"
