Amazing hotel, so picturesque and gorgeous scenery. Loved the myriad of pools as well as plenty of place to sunbathe and relax. Rooms were a great size and staff were lovely - especially loved the turtles in the lake!

This hotel situated in a quiet area is still located close to eateries, restaurants, malls, super markets and most importantly the local transportation.
The staff of this hotel exhibit a high order of excellent services by being friendly and helpful. And an excellent complimentary breakfast menu and a word of praise for the lady who takes care of the breakfast section.
If there has to be another trip to Lake Forest, then it shall be Hampton Inn again.

Not cheap but very good value for a beachfront location within walking distance of beach, pier and central shops and restaurants. Perhaps slightly dated decor but spacious 1 bed apartment, plentiful storage, good size living room/diner and well equipped kitchenette, with coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher and laundry facilities onsite for modest cost. Beach towels and chairs available free of charge as was gated car park. We did not use owners lounge or jacuzzi but they were available while...

We loved the Montage! We have stayed in many great hotels, and on this trip to California also stayed in the Biltmore Four Seasons in Santa Barbara, and Shutters in Santa Monica. The Montage was far and away the best of these three. The service was faultless, the hotel and surrounding grounds beautiful, and dining options excellent. The views are wonderful, and little touches (like a complimentary champagne in the room bar), make all the difference - great attention to detail.

This is a lovely hotel, beautifully designed with beautiful views along the coast. It has a calm, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, credit for this must go to the staff, the service is extremely good, very well staffed, we were greeted warmly and felt very well cared for during our week stay. There are 2 pools both with wonderful views and plenty available sun beds with good poolside snacks and drinks service and a perfect place to relax. We were upgraded to an ocean view room which had a large...
