The view down Lake Como from our room (No.29) was nothing short of breath taking. The staff where very very helpful and in the main spoke English (if your Italian is limited) food was very nice and reasonably priced. If you are a keen cyclist they cater with their own bikes and a workshop area. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A bed was provided for our 12 year old son as we requested, so catering for families doesn't present any issues. The Jersey Mob

The location of this hotel is incredible. The views we had from our room were stunning and the staff were exceptionally helpful before and throughout the stay. I struggled a bit with getting to the hotel considering I landed so late at night and public transport was a bit sparse. But with better planning from me this would've been easy. There are a couple fantastic restaurants nearby and the boat transport was so simple and easy, as well as buses. I'd come here again in a heartbeat and couldnt...

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with amazing views over Lake Como.
We were allowed to drop our bags off as we arrived before check in. When we came back to check in our luggage had already been taken to our room. Rooms are spacious and modern and very clean and the view is amazing.
We had dinner first night and the food was great - especially the risotto!
We woke up the next day after a really bad storm and unfortunately the damage to the road outside was extensive. Land slide...

Had the perfect stay at Hotel Garni Corona and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to come to Lake Como. In my opinion, it is in the best location with only a short walk to the ferry and bus stops. Not as busy as Bellagio or Varenna and proved to be the ideal base location. Plenty of restaurants, cafe’s and gelato spots right next to the hotel. Would highly recommend the room with the lake view!
Special mention to the lady at the reception who was so helpful and welcoming which was...

I had an amazing experience at Al Molo 5. The breakfast with a beautiful lake view was truly unforgettable, and the hotel itself is super clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.
I recommend coming by car, as there isn’t much within walking distance, but the on-site restaurant is excellent — great food, very romantic atmosphere, and the whole area is quiet and peaceful. Overall, a wonderful place to relax. Highly recommended!

When you walk into the courtyard at the Palazzo you know you are somewhere special.
Arianna is very welcoming and speaks very good English. The La Vista room we chose was simply amazing. Six big windows letting the light stream in and giving us fantastic views out over the Lake. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished and was spotlessly clean. The Palazzo has a lot of history and this is explained in the very useful information book in the room. The hotel has a private deck area right...

My husband and I had a very happy time on Como. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and our room lovely, with balcony, but noisy road, of course. The Tavernola ferry stop is handy - we walked, cycled and sailed into Como town! The Lake is enchanting - with gorgeous views and noisy seaplanes.
Our great disappointment was splashing out on dinner on our last night. The dining room is grand and all the service rather pretentious, but the food was by no measurement value for money. Euros18...

This place is a hidden gem in a typical Italian setting 5 minutes walk from Vezio Castle in the hills above Varenna ferry port.
Rita the host and Kirsty are the most helpful and friendliest people you could ever meet and absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them to do for you. The walk down to the ferry is quite steep on a cobbled trail but only takes 10 to 15 minutes and walking back up is a little more challenging especially after some wine and pasta down at the lovely restaurants in...

Me and my wife had a one night stay, traveled from Milan. We enjoyed a walk along the lake (which was right next to the hotel), there was a market on (Tuesday's) and plenty to see etc. We relaxed by the bar with a few drinks and watched the world go by. There was a swimming pool but we didn't use it. The evening was spent at the hotel, dinner was excellent and room was very comfortable.

The area is the best you will find in central Lugano. There is a funicular next to the hotel taking you directly to Lugano train station. The lake is 200m walk. The service is as good as any hotel I have ever been. The staff and very friendly and helpful. They helped me plan my trip to the two main Lugano mountains. Pre-visit you get to pick what you want in your free minibar, what type of pillows, what type of mattress and a few other surprises. The building is not new but is very well...

This hotel is amazing and good value for money. Great location in the centre of town in the shopping district and just a short walk to the ferry terminal and the train stations. All the staff were very helpful and are able to offer tips on things to do in Como. The room was pleasant - nespresso machine, kettle and tea and coffee included. There was also free water in the mini bar, bathrobe, slippers and wonderful amenity kit. The highlight was the superb breakfast in the morning - coffees,...

While Lake Como is not traditionally known for its beaches, it offers a variety of lakeside spots that provide a unique blend of relaxation and adventure. For families, the charming town of Bellagio features several small pebbly beaches where children can splash in the shallow waters, making it a perfect spot for a family day out. The Lido di Lenno is another delightful option with its sandy beach area, complete with sun loungers and a bar, allowing parents to unwind while the kids play. For the adventurous, kayaking on the lake is an exhilarating way to explore its stunning shores, and paddleboarding offers a fun way to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. If you're looking for a picturesque spot to stay, consider hotels nestled in Varenna, where you can enjoy access to the lovely beach at Fiumelatte and quaint waterfront promenades. Staying in this area allows for a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, with stunning views right from your hotel room and easy access to local restaurants serving fresh Italian cuisine.
