Check in was great. Front desk & bellmen were helpful! The room was clean! Everything was great until we went to the pool! We rented a cabana, which is supposed to come with unlimited towels & pool side service. We were there for an hour and watched the server go to everyone, but us. So, we decided to get lunch on our own at the cafe. We swam for a bit & came back to the cabana. Still no server in sight! My mom went to the pool hut & asked the guy for two towels. He told her "No, not unless you have a cabana!" What? This is the same guy who we rented the cabana from just a couple hours ago! Do you not remeber your own interactions with guests? Then, we watch that guy go check on another cabana close by and these tourists have a full on cooler & liquor in it. He says absolutely nothing to them! We are locals & we all work in the hotel industry on Maui. We are fully aware of the liquor law as we were trained for our resorts. Then, he walks by us & my mom's bag was partially on the side where the next empty cabana was and he tells her, "Is this your bag, move it!" We are usually laid back people & don't complain, but this is just bad service! My fiance went to talk to a manager & his excuse was they didnt have enough servers because no one likes that job! Why would you tell your guest that? We had the cabana until 10pm, but we were so fed up and left at 2pm! We stayed here many times, but after this experience we may not come back! Wish they would treat all guests the same!
