"This is my favorite place to stay in Los Angeles. The staff is excellent, and I always feel like they take good care of all of their guests. The Freehand is a beautiful historical building with a unique vibe. It’s a busy place that somehow still maintains a comfortable feeling. I always feel more “at home” here than at most other hotels. The lobby feels like a place you would want to hang out in, as opposed to a “what’s-next-on-the-list” waiting spot. I’ve never been to the restaurant inside the hotel but I’ve been to the Broken Shaker and it’s a good time. Recommend a first cocktail there because they are tasty and pretty potent! Golden Gopher is across the street. Awesome bar and the oldest in LA! Around the corner is a great coffee spot called Andante. Definitely check it out. Also recommend self parking, instead of valet. The garage attached to the building charges $35 a day with an entry on Olive Street. No ins/outs but no one wants to spend their time driving when they’re visiting LA anyways!"

"I’ve stayed at a several hotels near Disneyland and this hotel tops it all. Very clean and love the layout of the rooms because the living room and bedroom are separated. It’s great if you have additional people staying because the sofa pulls out to be a bed . Pet friendly and affordable compared to other hotels. More room for my pet to roam around and more to see. The firework view was fantastic! Complimentary breakfast and evening snack was great! The staff was kind and helpful ! I recommend staying at this hotel. It felt cozy and safe. 100/10 !!! "

"Gr8 rooms, clean, spacious, super kitchen & appliances Breakfast was mediocre compared to what I've had other places, definitely not up to your ratings I've read or your reputation. Waffle Irons & waffles looked good. One chinzy meat, one fruit, mish mash? Inconsistant food groups.combos. An insult not to have 2 bottles of water per room comped We paid for 5 rooms, 4 nights, brought our own bottled water but ran out last day, asked for 2 bottles, we were refused. Also had checkin confusions because system couldn't find Itinery numbers and names on each room got tweaked. But staff veey nice, got it done, although I had requested the 5 rooms near each other, that had to be redone, so we couldn't get into rooms until after 4pm but we were able to change dinner res to later. "
