"Was a little worried when I booked but it was perfect for one night. Very clean, tea coffee facilities . No on suites but plenty of bathrooms and we had showers in our rooms, towels provided. Parking and the car park is gated, felt very safe . Would definitely stay again but of a gem. "

"I stayed in an en-suite room which was basic as expected but was homely. The room had a nice large good quality TV. The large shared kitchen was a good size and I liked the kitchen. The location was very good. The owner was welcoming in that he rang me after I checked in to introduce himself and check if I had settled in and provided contact details as needed which I appreciated. A mirror in the bathroom would be helpful. "

"This is such a beautiful building with rich historical features. The pub is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. Many lovely things about the property. We ate outside because of the lovely weather and the view. The manager was very kind. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing to know is this is a historical building so the plumbing is a bit old, sounds like foghorns when used but it seems appropriate for an accommodation in a port city! "

"Weekend spent in Liverpool with friends. Hotel was lovely,Booked a family room. Plenty of space for all of us and adequate facilities. Room overlooked Sefton park. Breakfast was included in cost of room and was one of the best for price. Staff very friendly and helpful with any queries about area . We used taxi to get into city,Took about 10mins and cost between £8 & £12 . Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Liverpool and wanting a quiet hotel away from the city. "

"Room was ok but beds were not very comfortable and only came with one low quality pillow. One bed was higher than the other so beds are not standard. A towel rail was missing too. The arms were there but no rail attached to them. Toilet roll holder was broken so couldn’t be used, shower was low pressure or the head was blocked as it was more of a drip than a shower but it was better the second day so presumably they checked it and made it better.
