"Greeted by a pile of dirty bedding and towels in the room, phoned to tell the owners who did nothing about it. Very very dated and not in a quaint way. Not clean at all. Fortunately it was only a one night stay before we flew out on holiday early the next morning. I would not recommend to anyone. Floorboards are ridiculously creaky, if anyone gets up in the night, everyone is woken up! "

This guest house far outperforms most high-end hotels. Guests are made welcome by friendly and attentive hosts who provide an excellent experience. The quality of breakfast is highly unusual, with the best of ingredients cooked to perfection. The choice is equally impressive. A lovely old pub sits next door, The Swan with Two Nicks and the wonderful Dunham Massey estate is a ten minute stroll away, across open country. Wonderful !

We enjoyed our 1 night at the Ascott. Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Nice little supplies of hot drinks and a bonus of wine glasses and a bottle opener. Would recommend this place to anyone.
