"For the price of $64 2 non-smoking queen beds for Jan 2026 Iwould give it a 10 out of 10. There was some rust under the water spout in the bathtub but everything else was really great 👍👍. Front desk helped me change$5 into quarters therefore I was able to do laundry in the guest laundry room. It would have been nice if the vending machine had laundry detergent but it was sold out and I had to go to the nearby Walmart to get it. Breakfast was okay because there was a little bit of hot food such as waffles and hot eggs along with coffee and fruit juices."

"This is one of the best kept secrets in Galveston!! Only a block off the Strand and between two great restaurants.....Willy G's and Katty's. The room was spacious, reasonably priced, and the staff was great!!"

"I reserved the room with a private balcony and it was perfect. Homie beach vibes and the PERFECT spot to watch the sunrise. Enjoyed a nice glass of wine and watching the waves roll in. Can’t wait to book this room again."

"This is our second time to stay at the Galvez. Room was very nice and reservation staff was very helpful with our booking an extra night due to the ice storm coming in and then allowing us to cancel the next morning at no charge when we realized we could travel back as originally planned. Love the decor and history of the hotel. "
