"We stayed here at the start and finish of our Crete experience. A lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful pool, good food and drinks, great location (close to beaches, old town, port, and airpirt). Definitely recommend!!"
"Nice heritage village, which we explored during our stay. The view from the restaurant was fantastic and the breakfast delicious. Room had basic facilities."
"Very convenient hotel to stay following a late arrival at Heraklion airport. Rooms were very good, air conditioning very effective, good soundproofing for aircraft takeoff/landing., breakfast was very good.
Recommended for short stay (couple of nights) having just arrived. "
"A lovely traditional house in a typical Cretan village away from the tourist hotspots. Our host spoke good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The bakery sells wonderful trays of Baklava which we enjoyed on our spacious roof terrace, a great place for breakfast too. "

Good
Great shopping and food options plus all the museums and the famous palace Knossos. Parking and narrow streets make driving challenging

Excellent
A major town/city with lots of restaurants and bars. Understandably at Christmas a lot was shut, but only for a day or two. A lot of extremely good coffee bars for brunch/lunch and it's easy to get to the resorts of the western end of Crete.

Generally prices are reasonable compared with expensive Mykonos and Santrini. There are a lot of choice for restaurants. I found the quality of Greek food improved substantially during the last couple of decades.

It lacks historic buildings etc but since I have been coming for 56 years occasionally, it must have something! Really good value eating, too.

We enjoyed our stay in Heraklion and would have loved to have spent more time there.
"We were a family of five in three rooms for two nights. We all really enjoyed this hotel. Nice roof bar and pool, where we spent a lot of time. Very comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. And a great location, across the street from thecArchaeologic"
"Clean and nice room. Convenient location if you want to be near the airport. You can definitely hear the airplanes overhead when they are using the runway that points toward this hotel, but the night we were at the hotel the airplane noise stopped at a reasonable time, did not start up again until morning, and did not impact our sleep. If I were planning on spending a lot of time in the room during the day or evening, the noise might have gotten annoying. "
"Amazing hotel! Front desk, spa staff & lobby bartender were so nice and helpful! Rooms are amazing with balconies, fridge, and iPad controlled. Bellhop came outside and helped with parking right across the street & our luggage! They even have a pillow menu! Best part were the reasonable prices of the spa services (best massage ever) especially for the 5 star quality amenities - sauna, pools, jacuzzi, manicures etc. 5 minute walk to Lions Square for shopping & restaurants although the bar onsite in the lobby & on the roof are full service. The rooftop patio & pool are incredible. & the onsite gym. This place is amazing . King beds were separated ahead of time at our request. We will definitely return!"
