"A lovely traditional house in a typical Cretan village away from the tourist hotspots. Our host spoke good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The bakery sells wonderful trays of Baklava which we enjoyed on our spacious roof terrace, a great place for breakfast too. "

"We had 2 wonderful nights at Rafkos Hill Mansion with our two boys age 10 and 12. The owner was very accomodating and friendly and gave us great tips on restaurants and local attrations. "I travelled for 24 hours from the US to this property to arrive to a place that didn’t have sheets, blankets or pillows on any of the beds. It was dirty, there was dirt and dead bugs on the floor and also no towels or wash cloths. After traveling for 24 hours, I just wanted to shower and go to bed but there was no way I could do that.
