"Lovely stay overall, but what truly made it special was the receptionist on the night shift. She was possibly the nicest, most amazing and kind receptionist we have ever met in a hotel. Her smile, knowledge and genuine warmth completely stood out and honestly left us speechless. "This hotel was dilapidated and sketchy. Our room was musty, window sheers were literally shredded and tied up all over the place, gross old cobwebs outside on our windows and my daughter and I both woke up with swollen puffy eyes ostensibly from mold or allergens in the room or ac vents. We also chose the hotel partially for laundry facilities as we were attending a local horse show and assumed we would need them and when we asked were told they actually weren’t on site…they were at a sister property across the street. We clearly were not going to go sit with our laundry across the street for an hour and a half. When I showed the pictures of the shears to our desk agent, she conjecture that maybe that had just been done by the previous guest. We left when returning from our commitments the second day and when we emailed management were told that they would refund us for only the one night because we had stayed two which of course we had not. Abysmal property. We spent the following two nights at a lovely hotel with the same rate that was a palace in comparison. Photos attached."
