"The proximity to the train was what sold us on this hotel. Just steps away, I worried it would be loud and/or not feel quite safe but I was wrong. Not a worry at all. The staff was wonderful to us, stored our luggage and prepared our room a little early, knowing that we had flown in from the states on an overnight flight. They didn't have to do that but they did with a smile and it was very much appreciated. The only reason I didn't give the hotel a perfect score is because they were renovating, so the entire hotel was covered in a white sheet and the scaffolding (and therefore the workers) were right outside our window, so we had to keep the drapes closed for out entire stay. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it wasn't a big deal. Also, we understood that it was a temporary situation that couldn't be avoided to keep the property looking great on the outside. The inside was impeccable and when you're laying your head down to sleep after a long day of exploring, that's what mattered the most. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Very nice hotel with large rooms. Beds were great, comfy with space to sit or work at a desk. Very clean hotel in great shape. Staff were very helpful. There is a breakfast for about €16 which we did not use. Be aware rhere is train station access at Bloemendaal Station, one stop past Haarlem Centrale. No need to pay €20 for a taxi from Haarlem Station to the Ibis. It is a 15 min. Walk to the hotel from Bloemendaal Station through a beautiful residential area. We use it daily to get around by train. Also few restaurants in this area, so unless you have a car, be prepared to walk or use Uber Eats. Probably would get a hotel closer to Haarlem in the future but not knocking the hotel. Quite good."

"The junior suite was excellent. Despite the hotel being full it was quiet at night. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well positioned for access to the town. I would recommend this hotel. We did not try the food so cannot comment on that. "

"I really enjoyed the hotel A little far from the main station but buses to the station are right outside and to the middle Of town is close by and a very nice restaurant on the property I would stay there again"

"The hotel is very nice and i have stayed many times but this time was surprised and somewhat let down by being charged for 2 extra coffee pods....that sort of pettiness would make me look at alternatives "

"Staff were good. In the room the safe wouldn't open. The sink had no plug. The tap was very wobbly and not fitted properly. The coffee machine had 2 pods and sugar but no milk or cream so black coffee was the only option."

"Breakfast was good. Dover sole for dinner was overcooked. Chef needs to learn how to cook fish"
