"Great location and view. Some rooms had better views than others. Pool and hot tub were very nice and included a nice lounge area with fire table. Room was basic hotel room but clean. Offered breakfast but that wasn’t that impressive but not a big deal for us."

"Beautiful grounds on this property and the staff is friendly. However, the rooms are severely outdated and the beds are very uncomfortable. The bed was so uncomfortable in my first room that we instead slept on the pull out sofa for several nights. The manager, Jennifer, did her best to help us and put us in a different room. The bed in our new room was still uncomfortable. It seems like the beds, mattresses, furniture, etc. are many years old. I’ve never stayed in a hotel before with such uncomfortable beds. Also, we stayed 4 nights and did not receive maid service once. I hope for future guests that the Hilton takes care of these major issues. I would never stay there again. "

"The room was very clean and cozy with a kitchenette and amenities. I believe it is a state law/policy on laundry, but no softener on fancy towels. I wish they were just little bit more fluffy/softer. That could be improved with e detergent they use and material if the towels. This trip don’t allow me to spend multiple days in this relaxing location and I missed an opportunity to explore the resort. But people are very friendly and all guests I met on the property looked so happy."

"I was a bit disappointed that in a 3 star resort, in a deluxe cabin, there were no bedside lamps, only very dim ceiling lights. I called reception to ask for a lamp, they said they were going to see what they could do and never called me back. It costs $6 to do laundry (every other place I visoted it was either freeor a couple of dollars) And the staff was not very friendly, except for the lady who checked me in. Management should train their staff in basic social skills such as greeting customers with a smile... As far as the outdoor amenities are concerned, it's a great complex with beautiful pine forest surroundings."

"The property is not well maintained. The elevator was not functioning in the spa building, there were dead insects floating in the hot tub, the jets in the tub weren’t working, the advertised rooftop bar was closed, there was no bell staff to assist, housekeeping was spotty, the couch cushions by the fireplace were filthy, carpet leading up to our room was very dirty. The room needed updating, poor lighting in bathroom, chipped paint on doors and counter, ancient air unit that had a moldy drip, rug under bed kept sliding and flipping up, very annoying. Upon questioning I was told that the property sold about year and a half ago. The new owners intend on doing a total overhaul. The price for this resort is way out of line with the quality. On a positive note, my travel companion said his spa treatments were both excellent and the on-site restaurant, Rascal, is very good. It is outsourced and operated by an independent restaurant group with James Beard nominations."
