"Excellent staff very kind"

"This hotel is the perfect base to explore the Pyramids at Giza and Saqqara. We used their personalised entrance service to go directly to the pyramids without the usual entrance way which was nice - it’s not a glamorous entrance mind, but it’s very convenient. We also added the additional tour guide option which made exploring the site much more efficient as well as learning a few extra nuggets of local knowledge and historical insight. The hotel itself is tucked away from the rest of Cairo in its own compound so was surprisingly quiet. The grounds themselves are well maintained with lovely lawns and water features for the birds. The food was good, though if you’re vegan the lunch menu was poor. That being said, the tomato sauce and pasta was actually the best I’ve had pretty much anywhere so that’s a plus! The Indian restaurant on site however had amazing vegan options and we ordered too much because the portion sizes were pretty big! The room itself was clean and tidy and had everything we’d need - but the internet connection is terrible. Better to rely on your own 5G connection."

"Difficult to access the museum. Tiny bathroom with shower door that stuck. Elevator has a mind of its own . Restaurant does not serve alcohol but a great view of the pyramids."

"Having booked the "Horus Suite" at an extra price we were expecting a genuine suite experience however on arrival the room shown had no kettle so we were shown into another room exactly the same so conused wether this was the suite we booked. As we had booked the Horus suite it states that the mini bar is free and stocked but was told only 2 bottles of water free and the fridge didnt work. I would say this isnt a hotel its a few rooms on top of a run down residential block. As we opted for free airport transfer which was good but found out it is only 1 way, if you require return trip to airport be prepared for high rates far cheaper to Uber also coffees are overpriced if requested during evenings we had 4 coffees in total was charged for 6 and was asked for $10 stunning views bit way overpriced for what it was "

"All staff were very friendly at the hotel. On arrival, our room was not ready. We were offered complimentary welcome drinks and a choice of pasta/pizza at the restaurant. This was a kind gesture as due to new rules local places were closing at 9pm. The hotels restaurant stays open until midnight. I had reserved a quadruple room with a pyramid view. On allocation, the room was tiny, sufficient for a two person stay. I checked with reception, and they advised that was all that was available! We were travelling as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. On further checks they advised if I waited another 40 mins they could have another room made for us but did not come with a pyramid view, we committed (lack of choice). The rooms in general are ok, there is a lot of renovation required but at the price you cant really complain. The staff were friendly, the restaurant staff were amazing; the breakfast selection was huge. Lots of good choices for breakfast. Overall, good for the pyramid views but you would be compensating comfort, in my opinion. My kids could not wait until we checked out. Thankfully we only booked a single night. "
