Absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Grau.
The hotel is decorated so well throughout and is very clean.
Also in a great central location, only a few minutes walk to La Rambla and metro stations.
There are a couple of lovely communal areas to sit and chill, read, play cards etc.
There is also the rooftop terrace with honesty bar which was great - a sun trap when the sun was out! And another lovely area to sit and read, with a drink.
Breakfast was lovely - a really good selection and the staff...

Great location in the heart or the Gothic area. It is in easy reach of most places of interest for reasonably active people, if not use the hop on off bus. We stayed in a superior double room. Although not the largest it was well decorated, spotlessly clean with a great shower facility. It has the added bonus of having a free breakfast which should satisfy the average traveler. The front desk staff were pleasant and most helpful, especially Natalia who kindly printed off our boarding passes.Would...

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. The location is central - just 5 minutes' walk from the Liceu station. The staff are friendly and helpful; the room is very basic - just a bed, en-suite shower room, safe, and space for hanging and storing clothes - but always spotlessly clean. Don't expect any luxuries, just a simple comfortable place to rest and relax.

The room was very clean and very spacious. The balcony was a great addition and very good for people watching. The bathroom was small but had all you needed with a big shower and very hot water!
Storage space was good.
The reception and our room was up around 6 flights of stairs with 4 steps each but there was a 2-man lift!
The check-in process was surprisingly quick; they just needed a copy of my passport and i received the keys. Check-out was just as quick.
The location was excellent....

A very clean, well presented hotel centrally located for access to the Metro via Liceu (L3) and La Rambla with lots of sights within walking distance or a short metro ride away. Would definitely recommend.

Location is perfect close to beach and mainstreets.
It's the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. They have a lot of cleaning people, cleaning kitchen, toilets and shower rooms regularly.
I really appreciated this as I was nervous to stay in a hostel because I like clean toilets/showers.
The beds were comfortable and have privacy curtains on each bunk and your own bed light, 1electric socket, 2 usb charging connectors.
A lot of space in the kitchen to cook and store some food in the cupboards...

This place felt more like a friend's house than a hostel. The rooms are simple, with basic but comfortable furnishings. I had an ensuite that again was basic yet functional. There is a great lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen. They offer one of the best value breakfasts I have had in a long time. I would certainly consider staying there again.

We stayed at the Family size room which has a balcony, living room and kitchen. The size is good for a family and we can make our own breakfast everyday. The staffs were friendly and helpful too!
Only problem was the ants in the living room, they came in from the balcony, quite a lot.
