It is less than a minute walk down a short tunnel to enter north terminal from this hotel. Not having to rush to get to the airport on time and not having to worry about shuttles/ride shares makes it fully worth the price. The room is very nice and the hotel itself is lovely, but its the hassle-free way to the airport that makes it brilliant!

I was told room service would take 30-40 minutes which was fine. When it didn’t arrive after an hour I called down to be told it would be at least another 15 minutes so I cancelled it.

Staff were very helpful on arrival. Hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable. Two downsides; card reader machines were down in bar/lounge. Had to maken advance credit card deposit at reception in order to have food added to our room charge, subsequently now have to wait for balance to be refunded! Three false fire alarms went off during the night, which after a 9hr travel day to get to the airport, did not result in the restful night we anticipated before anothe long travel day! When we requested compensation as the room was not cheap, we were informed nothing could be done. Realise these are unusual incidents, but feel they could have been handled more efficiently and sympathetically.

Checking in was terrible. Staff were not helpful in providing necessary information at check in. Parking was confusing and difficult. My husband kept being told to go around with our car while I was checking in and was charged 5 pounds every time he came back to the front of the hotel. Worst experience I have had in a hotel. Breakfast staff tried to sit 3 of us at a table for 2 that was dirty. Room charges were incorrect and eventually refunded. Never received a receipt for our bill. Only positive was that the rooms were acceptable and there was cold water and chilled glasses in fridge, and the bar staff were helpful and friendly. Would not stay here again.

After a day of travelling the Sofitel is so convenient. With sumptuous cosy beds, a great nights sleep is so wonderfully welcoming. A larrge comfy room and a great size bathroom await. Breakfast buffet is available and delicious 😋

Quick and efficient but excellent customer service. Not the quietest of hotel rooms and there were some issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom but the bed was ultra luxe and the hotel was unparalleled in terms of convenience for an early morning flight.
