When I tried to open the door of the bathroom to leave, the door handle immediately fell off, and was broken upon inspection. I spent the next hour trying all sorts of methods to open the door, to no success. After panic started to set in, I decided to call for help. Piccolotel

Portuense

10/10 Excellent

I enjoyed my stay at Piccolotel - I had some work in Ostiense, a short bus trip or a 25 minute walk, past the fascinating Basilica of Saint Paul. The room is clean and a good size; there is access to a kitchen (which is stocked up for an Italian breakfast). The transport links are very good - I could get to the Trastevere area on the number 8 tram in about 20 minutes. There is a good place for a cold beer and burger on Via Enrico Fermi and other cafes nearby.

Il Granello di Senape

Portuense

10/10 Excellent

I had a great stay at Il Granello di Senape. The place is clean, spacious and very well maintained. It’s easy to reach from the train station, and getting to Rome’s main tourist attractions and some of its coolest, most vibrant areas is pretty straightforward too. Alessandro is friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with, which makes the whole experience even better. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay in Rome.
