"Hotel is modern , clean and close to Fira market square. Just walk up the hill and you are in the middle of all the restaurant, night club, shops, amazing sea views. Grab good shoes for cobble stone roads. Excursion bus picked me up right infront of the hotel. Only con is no one is at the front desk until 8am. Hotel taxi comes in at 8.30am so arrange for taxi ahead of time if you want to be picked up earlier. Hotel is actually better than all the Hilton affiliates properties around there. Picture on this platform don't do it justice. I stayed 2 days and later transferred to an SLH Hilton affiliate hotel, because I had hikton points to use...which was a big mistake, I should have stayed rest of my vacation at Golden star hotel."

"Smaro Studios is in Firastefani which is quieter than Fira itself. This suited us well and it's any easy walk to Fira...they essentially merge. It is a lovely property with an amazing view over the caldera. The room was very clean and well maintained with everything we required. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served every morning to the table just outside the room. It was a substantial meal which we could enjoy whilst taking in an amazing view. The position of the rooms means it's very well shaded in the morning...jumper a must. There is a small hot tub available for general use. It looked very clean but we didn't use it. April was a good time to visit, but even so, on one day there were 3 cruise ships in creating big crowds and groups. Food is really expensive. Good restaurants down by the little harbour at the bottom of the cable car. Great walk from Fira to Oia...very exposed so use plenty of sun screen."

"We loved our stay at Hotel Sunny Villas. The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the beginning. They were accommodating and very informative, not just about the hotel and our room itself but also the surrounding area and about what there was to see and do. They provided a nice breakfast every morning when we requested it. They helped us carry our bags to and from the room. We also had a great view from our room. "Beautiful hotel which is very well situated near to Thira which a 5-10 minute walk. The room are comfortable and very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices. It has beautiful swimming pools and great facilities. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"The view from this property is absolutely breathtaking, with an incredible caldera view that truly stands out and makes the entire stay memorable. The place was clean and everything matched what was described on the property page, which made the stay very reliable and comfortable. Since we did not have a rental car, the property was helpful in arranging taxis for us whenever needed. The property also had two bathrooms, one of which had an open concept design. This was not an issue for us. There are quite a few stairs to climb, but that is expected for the location and part of the overall experience. Overall, it was a beautiful stay. We didn’t get the Expedia perk of 1 beverage per 2 people per stay. "
