"Staff were excellent. Helpful and friendly. The room was pleasant. Breakfast was good. I would have preferred a walk-in shower. Rooms were advertised as having either a walk-in shower or a bath. I wasn't asked about my preference when I arrived. I have arthritis in one of my knees and stepping over the bath is starting to get difficult. It's not really an issue for the hotel but the taxi that was arranged to take us to the Centraal Station on our departure was a hassle. The driver wanted to sell us train tickets and then wanted to drive us to Schiedam for 150 euros. I couldn't see a meter in the cab and was surprised when he charged 35 euros. "

"We had a perfect stay at the Met hotel. The rooms were spotless with great amenities, and the staff were lovely and very helpful. It is a bit far out from the city centre, but we actually really enjoyed getting the tram or the metro into the centre each morning - there's a station very close to the hotel. If we come back to Amsterdam we will definitely be returning here :) "
